I am originally from the Midwest (USA) where I earned my BA from the University of Michigan. I was later mentored by the finest dog practitioners in the UK where I earned my Masters degree in the psychology of dog breed behaviour Middlesex University, London, England.
I maintain a full membership from the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association (CFBA) of Great Britain and am editor of the CFBA magazine. I am certified through the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour & Training (CIDBT), where I also distance tutor Understanding Canine Behaviour & Care, a foundation course for their accredited dog practicing professional programmes.
I am now based in Seattle! In addition to my very busy private practice, I am also contracted by Seattle's top pet care service provider, Strut the Pup, as Head Trainer and Behaviourist, and Eastside's Barkz, the dog stop, where I teach puppy, basic and advanced obedience training classes. I have also commenced an ongoing public awareness campaign for dog and child safety.
One of my specialties and favourite aspects of my work is educating owners - the more difficult the dog's behaviour, all the more sweet the successes! Nothing makes me happier than a happy dog and owner!
Last, but not least - I am currently the proud owner a Boxer and Dogue de Bordeaux, two of my favourite teachers!
