Dean Hart is well known for his entertaining and lively talks, seminars and college lectures on dog behaviour. He is lead tutor at the City & Guilds Accredited Canine Studies College in East Sussex and has written and produced several accredited courses in animal management, animal behaviour, dog behaviour, animal training and small animal hydrotherapy.
He has been a successful dog behaviourist for over 15 years and manages a busy vet referral clinic, covering Sussex and Kent with his two rehabilitation trainers and specialist behavioural dog groomer. He works mainly with dog aggression and dog phobias. Dean and his wife also own and manage a dog physical rehabilitation unit, grooming salon and dog training centre for pet owners where welfare is given top priority in all areas.
Dean regularly gives demonstrations on animal training, clicker training, hydrotherapy and behaviour modification and has been involved in pet animal training for over 22 years, starting within equine and small animal training for television leading to his specialisation in dog behaviour.
Dean’s interest and continual study is within animal learning theory, neuropsychology and psychopharmacology and he is working towards his MA in Professional Practice.
As well as providing support and information for several local rescue centres Dean was involved in the early set up of the National Association of Dog Hydrotherapists and is the Behaviour Advisor and Executive Committee Member of the Canine Association of Accredited Myotherapists. He is a Full Member of the Canine & Feline Behaviour Association and a Master trainer with the Guild of Dog Trainers.
